Yolanda completed her Bachelor of Business (Accounting) at the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2011 and has both public practice and extensive corporate accounting experience at various levels including significant international exposure. She also has experience in successful merger and acquisition processes, including due diligence and post-transaction transition.
In 2012 Yolanda decided to undertake an adventure of a lifetime and moved to London were she gained valuable life and career experience working for BMG Chrysalis, a key player in the global music industry. Upon return to Australia in 2014 she oversaw a hotel property portfolio with Oaks Hotels & Resorts in Queensland, before a relocation to Melbourne to accept a Management Accountant role taking her back into the world of musical theatre & live entertainment. After 2 years in this role, and group restructuring, she was promoted to Financial Controller for The Works Entertainment Group, a live entertainment group developing new stage shows from original concept to final production and touring them globally.
Within her role as Financial Controller, in addition to the maintaining and running of all the day-to-day practices of an international touring business, I was also heavily involved with M&A in due diligence procedures, discussions and subsequent successful sale of The Works Entertainment Group to Cirque du Soleil, Canada. Following settlement of the transaction in February 2019, I was then tasked with working along side the new owners to complete the post-close adjustments and reporting, as well as seeing the successful transition of operations from Australia to the US office and Cirque du Soleil HQ in Montreal. Upon successful completion of the transition, the Australian office was subsequently closed at the end of 2019.
Yolanda has since come on board with OpusV to oversee all things finance and is looking forward to being a part of the team to help grow the business and take it into the future.
